Biblical Conflict Resolution: Maintaining and Growing Love, Unity, and Peace within the Family and the Body of Christ

Conflict is most often the result of sin left untended. Therefore, Biblical confrontation is a ministry and commanded throughout Scripture (2 Tim. 4:2; Lk. 17:3-4). However, before confronting, we should grasp out own sinfulness, only approaching another in a spirit of humility (Gal. 6:1) and with unconditional (agape) love (Mk. 12:30-31; Jn. 15:12). Confrontation done in self-righteous judgement (Matt. 7:1) and/or anger (Js. 1:20) causes more hurt than healing.

True reconciliation, godly sorrow, repentance, and forgiveness grow out of abiding in the Vine (Jn. 15:5) and produce Biblical unity (Ps. 133:1; Eph. 4:3) and peace (Heb. 12:14).
